For more than 40 years, Jacksonville Contracting Co Inc has been helping homeowners, businesses, contractors, and municipalities solve concrete settlement, foundation movement, and soil stabilization challenges throughout Maryland.
As a family-owned, second-generation company, we have built our reputation on honest recommendations, quality workmanship, and long-term repair solutions. While many companies focus on only one type of repair, our team brings decades of experience across concrete lifting, foundation repair, compaction grouting, soil stabilization, helical piers, seawall repair, and structural rehabilitation projects.
Our goal has always been simple: help customers solve the problem correctly the first time.
Kevin and Lindsay Ayres own and operate Jacksonville Contracting Company and both take an active role in the day-to-day business. They live in Street, Maryland with their three children and continue to build the company around the same values it was founded on: honest work, clear communication, and quality repairs.
Formerly known as The Jacksonville Construction Company, the business was started by Dean Ayres, who earned a strong reputation for quality concrete repair work throughout the Baltimore area. The company became known for helping customers avoid the cost of full concrete replacement through innovative mudjacking techniques.
Today, Dean’s son Kevin continues that legacy while expanding Jacksonville Contracting’s service area across the greater Baltimore metro area. With traditional mudjacking, polyurethane concrete lifting, foundation repair, grouting, void filling, and structural stabilization services, Kevin and his team provide practical repair solutions backed by decades of family experience.

Kevin Ayres, President of Jacksonville Contracting Co, Inc., is the second generation of his family to own the business. Kevin took over operations in January 2011, after having worked at JCCI for over 15 years.
Kevin’s father, Dean, started the family business in 1973, and from its inception, focused the company’s efforts on concrete and foundation repair. Under Kevin’s leadership, the company has completed many complex projects, both residential and commercial, in the Delmarva region.
Kevin’s unwavering emphasis on maintaining solid customer relationships and delivering superior customer service has been vital to the company’s success.
Kevin resides in Street, Maryland with his wife, Lindsay, and their three children. He enjoys crabbing and restoring John Deere tractors in his spare time.
Lindsay Ayres joined JCCI as the Office Manager in 2012. After completing her Business Degree at Notre Dame of Maryland University, Lindsay worked as a freelance bookkeeper and tax preparer. After marrying Kevin in 2012, Lindsay took over the daily operations in the office. Lindsay has over 20 years of experience in the accounting, banking and construction industries.
Along with her work at JCCI, Lindsay continues to work as a freelance bookkeeper. She is busy raising three children and volunteering at many organizations in her community. She enjoys family vacations and spending time at the gym.
Mitchell Shinnick has been with the company for over 5 years. He is currently leading the sales and estimating department of Jacksonville Contracting Co, Inc. Before he took over his position in 2020, he began with the company as a laborer learning first-hand how our business operates. He spent time learning from Kevin how to give detailed oriented quotes on projects. He likes spending time at the gym, attending local live concerts, and spending time with family and friends. He’s an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles and the Auburn University Tigers.
Kyle has been a valuable employee at JCCI since 2020. He spent countless hours in his father, Kevin’s, shop learning the family business, and joined the company full-time after graduating from high school. Kyle has worked along side Kevin for four years, honing his skills. He has learned the ins and outs of the concrete repair business and has become an extremely important part of the JCCI team.
In addition to concrete repair work, Kyle has become a skilled Class A truck driver. When he’s not working alongside his father, Kyle can be found hauling materials for many local farms and other businesses. He also inherited his grandfather, Dean’s, cooking skills and owns a successful catering business specializing in pit beef.
Over the years, the concrete repair industry has evolved, and so have we.
Today, Jacksonville Contracting offers both traditional mudjacking and modern polyurethane foam lifting solutions. Rather than pushing one method for every project, we evaluate each situation individually and recommend the repair approach that makes the most sense based on the structure, soil conditions, and long-term performance goals.
This flexibility allows us to provide practical, cost-effective solutions for a wide variety of residential, commercial, and municipal projects.
Many companies specialize in raising driveways and sidewalks. Jacksonville Contracting goes far beyond that.

The tools and technology may continue to evolve, but our approach remains the same as it was decades ago: treat customers fairly, stand behind our work, and provide repair solutions that deliver lasting value.
We are proud of the reputation we have earned throughout Maryland and look forward to helping future generations of homeowners, businesses, and communities protect and improve their properties.
